Job Description: Personal Assistant / Support Worker

Hello, I’m Dais I’m a producer of theatre, cabaret, events and all round creative fiend about town. I’m non-binary, queer and neurodivergent, and those are primarily the identities of the artists I work with too. You can see my work here

As my freelance career has grown, the difficulties I face with my neurodivergences have started to reach a capacity, so thanks to my DYCP funding, I’m now looking for a Personal Assistant to support me and my work. For transparency, this is not an assistant producer role.

This position is for 8 hours a week at £18.75 an hour for 13 weeks with a view to extend beyond the 13 weeks. The times of working will be agreed with the successful applicant. The work would be remote so location doesn’t matter but being UK based is needed. I would be looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a short zoom interview.

What I’m looking for:

- An understanding of the social model of disability is also ideal -Someone with excellent organisational skills who has done a similar role before. -Someone who can help me set up organisational systems -Someone who can support me to recognise strengths and areas to improve in terms of organisation and time management. -Help prioritising tasks -Support in striking a better work life balance -Excellent written communication skills -To be organised, prompt and reliable -Attention to detail -Excellent at problem solving -A genuine interest in theatre making List of duties: -Drafting and answering emails/ensuring emails are answered -Organising my calendar/schedule -Administration -Setting up organisational systems to hand back to me or to another assistant -Someone with experience using google drive -Attending meetings and taking notes -Helping schedule to do list, aggressively reminding me to say no to the things that I don’t have time to do.
